Introduction to Quantum Computing

I’m sure you’ve heard the term quantum. The quantum is a discrete amount of energy whose magnitude is proportional to the frequency of the radiation it represents. You’ve probably heard of quantum mechanics and or quantum physics. All of this sounds rather technical, doesn’t it? I can’t claim it isn’t. However, have you heard of the term quantum computing? This artil tells the story of Alice, a woman who discovered quantum computing and how it revolutionized her life and the IT business.

Alice’s Journey

Once upon a time in a world very dissimilar to our own, there was a programmer named Alice. Alice was intelligent and creative, but she often felt constrained by the traditional computers she used on a daily basis. They were sluggish and clumsy, requiring hours to execute even the most basic tasks. Alice came across a mysterious book about quantum computing one day. As she continued to read, she discovered a world beyond her wildest dreams — a world where information could exist in numerous states at once, calculations could be completed virtually instantly, and the limits of what was possible in computing were pushed far beyond anything she had ever seen before.
