Autumn’s Lullaby

Golden hues dance in the gentle breeze,
As autumn paints the world with ease.
Leaves, once green, now crimson and gold,
A tapestry of beauty to behold.

They flutter and fall, a graceful sight,
A gentle carpet, soft and light.
Rustling beneathfoot, a comforting sound,
As nature’s beauty abounds.

The air is crisp and cool, a welcome change,
From summer’s heat, a welcome range.
The scent of leaves fills the air,
A sweet and earthy fragrance, beyond compare.

The trees stand bare, their branches stark,
A silhouette against the fading dark.
But in their bareness, a beauty lies,
A testament to nature’s wise disguise.

For in the depths of winter’s chill,
New life will stir, a hopeful thrill.
The trees will bloom, their leaves will green,
A cycle of renewal, a timeless scene.

The leaves, once vibrant, now withered and brown,
A reminder of the seasons’ turn.
But even in their decay, they find a purpose,
Nourishing the earth, a natural resource.

As winter approaches, the leaves will disappear,
But their memory will linger, year after year
A symbol of change and the passing of time,
A reminder that beauty is fleeting, yet sublime
